Bald Cypress

Many sites where bald cypress grows experience prolonged flooding.

It will also grow along estuaries but can't tolerate water with more than 0.89 % salt.

Good seed crops occur every 3 to 5 years squirrels eat seeds but some are dropped. Flood water will spread the seeds, being heavy they won't travel far without floods.

Seeds will not germinate under water but some can remain viable in this state for up to 30 months.

1 Kings 5:10

"So Hiram gave Solomon as much as he desired of the cedar and cypress timber."
