Beautiful flowering tree with small double compound leaves. The tree is an exotic from Asia and is adapted to grow in open ground that is dug up. But it does not do well in extreme freezing weather so the lack of hardiness will keep the tree further south in Missouri.
It is a legume and has seed pods that look similar to the Eastern Red Bud tree.
Native wildlife have no use for the tree. But a friend in our area just reported that Humming birds flock to this tree.
God's beauty abounds all around us. Some of it is natural and some comes from distant lands. We should enjoy everything. Let us remember God each day as we see His creative work.
